As if we needed more rumors, I just heard through a GSU alum that Hatcher may have been contacted about the OC position at FSU. Could that mean that Jimbo is being promoted to replace the aging Bowden? No links of course since it was word-of-mouth.
 
Well, the latest "hot rumor" had Fisher off of our list...mabye LSU or Arkansas if so?
 
Chris is not leaving GSU for the FSU coordinator job - nor will he leave for the the coordinator job at any other school.
 
My guess is Jimbo to Arky and Hatcher to FSU unless he gets the Tech job
 
The only thing that would guarantee Jimbo got dropped off our list is if Bowden retired, IMO. Jimbo wouldn't drop himself off our list if he was interviewing somewhere else less certain. That would indicate a vacancy at OC for FSU.

I do not like the prospect of playing against a Jimbo Fisher led, Hatcher coached FSU team next year.

I don't know about anyone else, but that seems fairly lateral to me.

Chris Hatcher will not be the next head coach at GT (he has already turned us down) - leaked from someone with a personal relationship with one of his GSU staff. From the same source, we'll be talking with Larry Coker. :eek:
 
I think Coker is great, but not what we need now @ GT. We're looking for firey.

As much as i disliked Chan, he is better than Coker

IMO, Chan = Coker. Good guy, player's coach, probably too old school for college football today. Not really the candidate that fits Drad's description.

For this reason, I don't believe my "source" and laughed when they told me.

Wow, that would be embarassing on both accounts!
 
I just don't see Hatcher turning us down. For one too much money involved. For two is a great opportunity in a big tv market. With the right coach we can win ACC championships and beat UGA regularly. Trust me CH would relish the challenge.

Everything I have "heard" indicates this as well. these rumors are getting out of control!

I heard I might get fired if my employer finds out how much time I'm wasting on here!

I was in Atlanta for a meeting earlier today and that's all I am at liberty to discuss at this time. You can read into that whatever you like.
