It could be, and I am speculating here, that he is just ready to get on with his life and is tired of football.

Or it could be family reasons that make continuing in football pretty well impossible.

Maybe it is playing time, but he seems to be getting that. Maybe we aren't air raid enough for him to get the targets he feels he needs.

Whatever it is, good luck. If it is a family issue, he is doing the right thing focusing on that.

Unless he transfers lower, it is unlikely he'd get more PT at a P4 if he got passed on the depth chart at GT.

I don't even think Northwestern. I think the shine of living off of the portal will wear off a bit as teams see what happened to FSU to start this season. They have all the talent in the world, and should have lost Saturday, but have no team continuity.

Pretty sure this is the case. He's played his 4 games this year and decided to redshirt and preserve his last year to transfer somewhere he'll likely get more playing time. Sounds like there's no drama there, he just made a decision he feels is best. Key mentioned it in the post-game press conference and said he wishes Leary all the best.

This was what was obvious from the beginning. I think there are no hard feelings here to be honest. He wasn’t getting touches and wanted to see what he could do if he went somewhere else. It wasn’t discipline or NIL. I don’t blame this kid for the world the adults have created.
