Just could not believe that they would draft yet another WR in the 1st round. But then again CJ is awesome, but still.... Thoughts?
 
Don't be surprised to see them deal him before the season starts. He will be valuable trading leverage.
 
I liked the gold shirt and tie Calvin was wearing at the draft.
 
If da Raidas hadn't've been so quarterback starved CJ would've gone number one in the draft. Best available. Period. Quite an honor.

Congrats to Calvin Johnson. All the best to a fine young person and great representative of the institute and the GREAT STATE of Georgia.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up somewheres else either.

Detroit traded one of their other WRs off yesterday too. I wouldn't be surprised to see another one go. CJ's staying in Detroit.

I would like to retract my previous statement. After hearing an interview with Mike Martz, I think that he will come to work with dynamite strapped to his chest if they even considered trading Calvin. Well, at least we’ll get to see him on Thanksgiving.
 
While of course it's nice to see such a deserving young man be both recognized and enriched, let's not forget where he's going...Detroit MI, & the perennially consistent Detroit Lions.

Simply put, Calvin deserves better, as in playing for just about any other team in the NFL.

So, on this auspicious occasion, please permit me to be the first to raise the cry;

"FREE CALVIN JOHNSON!"

it's a start....................
 
Just saw him on Baseball Tonight throwing out the 1st pitch at the Tigers game. He fired it in there but it was a little high.
