A Climpson person indicates he's definitely transferring. While I had heard rumors, have not seen this substantiated anywhere. Anyone know if this is true?
Would be good news for the rest of the ACC.

Ugay having to face him is an added bonus.

He's gone--official announcement this Friday.

bjh92, are you sure on this?
I have been trying to run it down all day haven't been able to come up with anything. It's a very instresting story on a kid that's been in school and playing over 6 mo. WHY?
I do wish him the best.

Does he lose a year of eligibility when he sits out or can he burn his red shirt next year to keep it? I have no idea how the transfer rules work.

Good pickup for the Gators, tough loss for Clemson. Rich get richer is right.

Eligibility (damn, that's a bunch of i's.)

The only "out" I know of is the one Tashard got. If he can't play that card then it's "sit a year" for him.

Wow CJ Spiller would be a huge boost for the Gators. Damn this is great news for me after the awesome NC Game!!

I have no reason to doubt the guy who told me. He has pretty good contacts in their athletic dept. The same person told me we were going to last season's Nut Bowl a couple of days before bids were officially extended.

As to why, primarily a combo of homesickness & academic difficulties, though those could be intertwined.

Thanks
I hope everything works out for him, especialy when he plays the mutt's.

Spiller Staying After All

Latest - Spiller is staying at Clampsum, after a sit-down with Tommy Bowden. Too bad.....

FWIW, he also has a daughter in Florida. That's what I was told by a Clemson alum here at work.
