HD answers a question in her ACC mailbag:

Chris, in Atlanta, writes: There seems to be some a lot of discrepancy in looking at Georgia Tech's recruiting class. Scout has them at near the top 25. The AJC keeps saying that the class looks impressive. But then Rivals has them in the forties and there's no mention of them even being on the cusp by ESPN. What is your take on the Jacket's recruiting class? Also, how do you feel about how Johnson handled the Aycock situation?

Heather Dinich: First, forget about the rankings for a second, and look at how each player was evaluated by the ESPN experts using the grading scale. Georgia Tech's recruiting class is solid, and includes two players -- Will Jackson and David Sims -- who are regarded as outstanding prospects who have the potential to play as true freshmen. ESPN's Tom Luginbill wrote, "This is a class that has a terrific balance between academic standards and good players. Coach Paul Johnson has hit on many positions that add talent and depth across the board." Sounds good to me. As for the Aycock situation, good for Paul.

I've always wondered...that isn't our Tommy Luginbill, is it?

Oh, and nice work Heather.
