Clementine Prediction Thread

The I - 20
Cow College - 10

Jackets start fast on offense and punch the kitties in the mouth. Quick 7, and then it settles into a defensive battle. Visitors are up 10-0 at the half, and the natives are restless. Their only consolation is that they figure with Bowden and Harper leading the way, it would probably be at least 17-0 or worse. Jackets open 3rd quarter with a big stop and drive for another TD. After a late 3rd Q FG for the Tiggers, Tech leads 17-3 going into the gut-check quarter. Korn is holed up most of the game, but manages to break free midway through the 4th for a TD, making the game a little closer than it appears to those really paying attention. Tech engineers a time-killing drive and settles for 3 with less than a minute remaining to ice the game.

GO JACKETS!!

They are more than due to take a beating like the ones they gave us in 2003 and 2006. I can still feel the sting from the Purple Shirt Massacre on Grant Field.

Yellow Jackets - 38
Orange Necks - 9

Y'know, I've actually had to listen to this argument from Clempsun folks before. They say they have the upper hand in this series because they "consistently" whip us in their wins, while we have to squeak by to get our wins. I guess the point taken from that is they're due a severe ***-whoopin'.

Our recent wins:
'07: 13-3

'04: 28-24

'98: 24-21
'97: 23-20
'92: 20-16
'90: 21-19
'89: 30-14 (Besides last year, this is the last win by >4 pts)

Their recent wins:

That 1989 game was their homecoming. We were not that great, and I was able to convince only 1 of my fraternity brothers to make the drive with me. Needless to say, we had a blast and enjoyed the win. Had to stay in Cow-town a bit longer than expected to sober up, though.

GO JACKETS!!

GT 23 - Clemson 3

But in reality, not even that close. Clemson never gets anything going on offense, but a couple of GT turnovers in Tiger territory keep the score from getting more out of hand. I also see a play in there somewhere in the 3rd quarters, when backed up on their own goal line, a Clemson o-liner holds D-Rich in the end zone - automatic safety.

It's one or the other:

Tech 28, Clemson 7

or

Clemson 35, Tech 14

Somebody is going to strike gold and hit on all cylinders this game and plow through the other. Personally I am very concerned as to who that will be.
