Clemson played ALL 72 players on the travel roster yesterday. The 3:30 game on ABC legit turned into a scrimmage for them. We’ve never been able to out-recruit them but could still find ways to win. Venables is the end game for CPJ. A 1-3 start with 2 ugly losses. The playoff committee may never look at us again. Time to move on. #FireCPJ

The performance of the offense had less to do with Venables and more to go with CPJ.

On the TO, we had 3 guys blocking single defenders, leaving 3 to cover the QB run/pitch options. You're not going to be able to run the TO when that happens, regardless of talent level. Then we had, what, 9 fumbles? CPJ is right when he says that the problem is poor blocking and poor choices. What he misses is that it's his player selection, coaching, and prep that should prevent those things.

The reason we had 3 guys blocking single defenders is because... of Venables. The analysts were noting how he will shift his line pre-snap and then again post-snap to confuse the blocking assignments. Sounds like checkmate to me.

They had to put their first string back in after we pulled within 21.

Yeah, no. Well, maybe. O line is too poorly coached to recognize and adjust.

PJ said in his presser it was nothing they hadn't seen before so yeah, you aren't wrong. Ultimately the credit still goes to Venables as the source of the confusion and the blame goes to the coaches for not having them prepared for what they knew was coming.
