Coach’s Show - 10/23

I was listening on the way home. Also said something about Shamire being the tallest midget in the circus. He was killing the blocking. Lol

When Demetra said Roddy went to Wiley Ballard right before half and asked him to soften up coach for the halftime interview, PJ said that was a good idea "because I was running hot."

In response to a question about throwing it more (see SYR v CLEM) vs sticking to your guns and running the offense

"if they can get better at defending it in 1 week than you are at running it in 19 weeks, they were gonna beat you anyways."

Before the show CPJ and the radio tech were discussing what questions would be asked and apparently they had something riding on it because for one question CPJ asked for the over/under on how many times it'd be asked. The tech offered 3 and CPJ countered with 4.

CPJ was sure the 2 point conversion attempts would come up, but I don't think there was a single question about that.

Coach just said “we went down the field like a bunch of stumbling drunks.”

Spurrier approves!

This was from beginning of game to end!

To PJs credit he took full blame for it in the post game presser and even suggested he was mad at himself for making a stupid decision then compounding it 2 more times.

I know people think he always blames the players but I think he is usually pretty fair about assigning blame where it belongs and is usually willing to own his and the staff's mistakes.

Hard to blame coaches for dropped passes, missed tackles, and poor execution, etc.
