I appreciate the class and good will of your statement. Coach Gailey has done nothing but coaching winning football teams each year at Tech. He is a class person. He failed to beat UGA and had some very tough losses. But, he was a good coach for us who deserved far better than the treatment he received by the AJC and other Atlanta media, much of the Tech fan base, and athletic administration. Thanks and good luck, Coach Gailey.

I never blamed Godsey for that. It was a brilliant play by the defender who guessed right and broke on the ball almost before Godsey threw it.

But yeah, it was a knife in the chest.
