Coach Gailey\'s job

I hope all you guys who think it's a smart idea to fire Gailey hold the same type of standards to your own job security.

My God, to give a man one year, given the injuries to our best players, injuries to our depth players, a new QB-who apparently cannot get it done, and a new coaching staff is absolutely ludicrous. And all you people who want to fire him are freaking imbeciles.

I COMPLETELY understand your anger and frustration, but firing Gailey is stupid. For all that's happened over the last year since OLeary bolted, he had the same record going into the bowl game as OLeary. If we fired him, NO COAch in America would want to come to Tech. Get over it. Some of y'all are so pathetic.

Firing him before he runs our proud program completely into the ground would be a prudent move at this point.

we werent that impressive against vandy, uconn, or byu.

Re: Coach Gailey\'s job

If I thought that an "upside" was there, it would be different for me. As of now, I have seen nothing that he has brought to this program that would make me endorse him for the future.

I just do not like the man and I do not know why. He is honest and a good Christian but so is my banker. If I felt that he cared a hoot about GT and the fans, maybe I would feel different. If he had instilled some discipline and pride in players, maybe I would feel different.

Do I think he should be fired now? No. If DB truly has made a mistake, that is not CG's fault, and he should be given a chance to get us out of this quagmire. If we still do not see improvement by this time next yr., I would feel adamant if he was not fired.

I think we should fire Beeware now not later but now! Get his tush out of Georgia send to Afganistan or some other equally remote area.

Re: Coach Gailey\'s job

Well if I was being paid a million bucks and that was the best "job" I could do I would ask to be fired!

Re: Coach Gailey\'s job

C'mon people now. Smile on your brother. Everybody get together and love one another. Right now.

For the life of me I have not heard or read with the exception of Dan Reeves where his peers praise his abilities. In fact the only negative toward firing Gailey is that Dan Reeves could place him in charge of the Falcons offence and Michael Vick! Boy, that would suck.

Re: Coach Gailey\'s job

BOR,

You have won me over with your gentle persuasion and convincing arguments. What was I thinking??

Could it be that this is the kind of problem that can't be solved with a slide rule (there I go dating myself again, dangit).

It's a judgment call, your judgment (along with many others) is Gailey should stay, and many others (not me anymore!) believe he should go. I choose to believe both sides on this issue want what’s best for the program and Tech football. And I enjoy reading them all, well most of them.

In my opinion, only time will tell who is right and wrong on Gailey. Meanwhile, I will try to be remember my views are just my opinions and your are perfectly entitled to your wrong ones.

Now about Bilbo vs. Suggs……
