Good for Mac. I've always liked him and wish him the best at his new job. Texas has hired a really good assistant.

Congrats to Coach Mac and to UT. They got an outstanding individual, and outstanding coach, and an outstanding recruiter.
They already recruited fantastically and now they have even strengthened this already strong area for them and at the same time substantially improved their coaching staff.
The way that Coach Mac (and the entire staff) was treated by Braine will be a very black eye on TECH for a long, long, time.
Anyway....TECH's loss....UT's gain...congrats to UT and Coach Mac.

I think I've got you pegged now. This pro-Mac stuff is really anti-DB stuff. You don't like DB. That's cool. To each his own.

The left gremlin (Beeware) is pukin' on DB (the right gremlin).

Beeware... I agree with you concerning Braines treatment of coaches during the change... but, I do think in the end, Braine made the right decision... I just wish he had handled things a little better... but, its done!

Mac does a very good anywhere he goes,but the best decision was made. I think in the Chan will do a much better job for TECH.

Coach Mac's job at Texas won't probably be confirmed till the end of the week. For all the guys who doubted his "ability" to get a job(because he TURNED down the others,not as some said, not offered), Tennessee is knocking hard at his door, along with an old friend from Tech.

To Beeware: Maybe DB could have handled Mac's dismissal a little better after the 2001 season, but DB was frustrated because he knows he got rid of the wrong fat man after the 2000 season. DB picked the better coach in CG IMHO.
