Coach of the Year

This is just a "how many fans does each school have" poll. There's no way PJ wins a fan's choice poll.

Fan vote of 20%...these things kill me. Someone please tell me there is an ACTUAL coach of the year award that doesn't have 1/5 of it decided by an online popularity contest? Because Skip Holtz will easily win the fan vote going away this year, but the way things are going he could be out of the minds of real voters by the end of the season.

Also, how can possibly be voting on ANY yearly awards when the season is only a third over???

Why would Navy fans vote for a coach who left them? Are you still a fan of GOL?

yes, i am a fan of GO'Leavy. even though his time to go was here, he was a great guy for Tech while he was here, and he is a good guy.

i am a fan of George O'Leary still! i am glad that he didnt go to Notre Dame, b/c i would much rather laugh at them!

I can guess the winner right now, because the media has as well.......SKIP HOLTZ.

Personally when all is said and done, CPJ will be turning heads, but will take a while w/ the media.

Another vote for PJ.

BTW, has GOL ever paid GA Tech what he owes us on his buyout?

If preseason predictions mean anything, CPJ should have a shot at it this year. If we finish 9-3 or even better, CPJ must start looking pretty strong this year for COTY awards.

Every Navy or Georgia Southern fan I ever talk with adores PJ and wishes him the best. They are generally very understanding in regards to his departure. After all, he left GSU to move to 1-A and left Navy to get into a BCS conference. He left both programs in great shape as well.

It's not as if he pulled a Bobby Petrino. IMO it's more like when a Tech player leaves school early to go to the NFL.

Gotcha. Ross, I got. But leaving GT because the Mighty F**king Fighting Irish come calling... that absolutely had me livid!

I like GOL, he's been nice enough the time I met him, might have been because Derrick Goshay(sp?) was with me as a guest at a Macon club meeting tho'.

GOL really had no choice when the ND deal came up, it's a genetic thing with Irishmen, they're hardwired to genuflect toward South Bend when the prayer bell rings!

CPJ did the honorable thing when he left Navy for us;they respect that and should vote for him without any problem.
