It doesn't really mean anything to "win" this round of voting. It is only to determine the top 25.
Then a panel will score the top 25, go through another round of voting, selct the final 10, then the panel will select the winners.
9/17-12/6 OPEN FAN VOTING
- Fans pick the top 25 coaches in Divisions I, IAA, II and III
12/7-12/11 FINALISTS SELECTION
- The top 25 from each division are scored, using an objective evaluation model endorsed by the College Football Hall of Fame
12/12-12/22 FINALIST VOTING
- Fans and Selection Committee members vote for the 2008 Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year in each division
- 10 finalists in DI and 5 finalists each in DIAA, DII and DIII will be named
12/23-12/30 SELECTION COMMITTEE DELIBERATION
- Fan votes are combined with votes from select College Football Hall Of Fame members and members of the national media to pick the 2008 Liberty Mutual Coaches of the Year
- Fans = 20%, Hall Of Fame = 55%, National Media = 25%
