After reading the meltdowns at both LSU and Tenn, I noticed both schools have the same problem. Huge buyouts, like $12 million, on top of paying off the previous coach, they just ran off. At what point does this lunacy stop? I mean all this cash is being thrown around, and they still can't beat Saban.

Idiots did not study up on the Paul Hewitt Principle before giving these coaches these ridiculous contracts.

Especially Orgeron. It was malpractice to give him that contract.

All the TV money has to go somewhere if they're not going to give it to the players.

I still have no idea what on earth convinced LSU that Orgeron was a good HC for them other than he has a cajun accent?

The contract was crazy but trying him at HC wasn't crazy. He's a great recruiter, and he seemed to do a good job as interim HC at USC. He did well as interim HC the rest of 2016. I wouldn't have paid him anything for a few years while paying off Miles and seeing if he was gonna be any good though.

I still don't get why teams line up in the shotgun to try to get a yard. I will give Kirby some kudos here, as much as it pains me. The Gaggers will line up under center and run a play from the I - formation. I saw a play a few weeks back where they ran a fullback dive that looked like one of our play calls.
You'd think some AD at a factory school would get over the stigma associated with an under center flexbone type offense. I absolutely love our offense, but factory schools just won't run it.

Coaches arent as dumb as we like to think they are. If you look at short yardage from under center and from shotgun, both require moving the DL off the ball quickly. Whether youre in the gun or under center, you will pick up that yard if your line hits the DL low and hard off the ball. The only thing you cant do well from shotgun is the QB sneak.

Bullshit. A ööööing UGAg safety/CB was able to come from the outside and make a tackle for a loss against UT on a 3rd and short yesterday. He wouldn't have had time to do that under center giving to a fullback.

Market's gonna market, man. Is the market peaking? Who know? Just enjoy the ride, all you asst coaches making more than trial lawyers. Enjoy it while it lasts.
