To me, while UGA is staking up 4 and 5 stars galore.. CPJ really just needs a guy to run his system and that's just as valuable as signing a 5 Star RB. Example, Justin Thomas. Getting someone who can semi pass while running the offense well stacks up wins under CPJ, Example, 2014. Ive been critical of CPJ but have high hopes for this years team with TQ at the helm and a new D coordinator. Roll Tech

5 STAR ***** post BigPlayCJ.



You know that I am a GSU fan and PJ did a better than great job at Southern. I'm using my observations of Southern's program since 1981 - the good, bad and ugly!
I hope GT will be playoff bound soon!

EXAMPLE 1– It was ERK, his staff and mostly walkons that WANTED to play for ERK that won GSCs first FCS National Championship, 3 years as a club team & 1 year after joining FCS. MOST with a few GREAT exceptions were not the cream of 1aa prospects but the were coached to win!

EXAMPLE 2 – GSU HAS STUNK UNDER THE WRONG HC!

PLEASE NOTE, my point is not to praise GSU, but as an example to BigPlay's statement. GSU has also switched out winning Head Coaches. The new HC took the same winning team and players and did a dreadful job. On the other hand we hired other great head coaches and staff that took losing GSU teams and turned them around the next year. After watching this scenario go on over and over at GSU I am a firm believer in the correct coaching staff can do wonders. Many times, it’s not what you have, but what you do with it. Of course, a few super stars in the right positions magnifies this!

What do your numbers even mean? Delta between average poll rank and average recruiting rank?

You want the best players and coaches you can get. BigPlayCJ just pointed out, as I did, that coaching matters a great deal.
How's your D coach doing this year?

As I was saying how well will your D play under Woody. Of course you or I really don't know. If your D gets markedly better you will win more games.

Will you, Dis, give the new coach a chance or just throw him under the Sooner Schooner too??????

I though K-St was mostly transfers which probably incorrectly categorizes them as not having many recruiting stars when I don't think that is the case (so saying that the star rating of transfers is not added it making it look like they have no blue-chippers on their roster when I think they do).
 
What was Justin Thomas's recruiting ranking? He was great because he was great to begin with. He could turn bad plays into positive yardage even if he didnt get the read right or the blocking wasnt executed. Yes I believe that we can do more with 4 stars than uga can with 5 stars but you still need 4 stars. Not the 3s and 2s and occasional 4s we've been getting. Which is why we have the increased efforts for the recruiting with the new locker room and the Adidas apparel.
 
you people hoping for CPJ to leave are posting the most insanely idiotic things we have ever read. At no point, in your rambling, incoherent relies were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this board is now dumber for having read it.
 
When I read most people’s crap they write here it makes me sick!!! Some of you are just plain stupid. Social media has become people’s way of bitching about everything and complaining about everything. As long as CPJ is our head coach I’m going to support him and GT 100%. I’m not going to complain or bitch or moan! Those young men are working as hard as they can to be the best they can. What some of you are really saying is I don’t like the players we have. They are not good enough. The guys are shit, can I have different ones? I want 4 and 5 star guys. If your not a 4 or 5 star we don’t want you. I’m sick of those type people. The complaints not the kids. I’m a supporter of our coach, our players, and GT. And until such time as things change I will fully support my school. If you don’t like the way things are going support a different school. I’m sure there is one out there that would like you. A lot of you on this board are the problem not our coaches, kids, or school.
