It looks like we got a new recruiter.

Boasting a dozen years of experience as a college football coach and recruiter, Cody Moore has joined Georgia Tech's football staff as associate director of player personnel, Tech announced on Monday.

"I'm excited to welcome Cody to our staff," Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson said. "He brings a track record of success as a talent evaluator and I think he'll be a great asset to our recruiting efforts."

Moore comes to The Flats after three seasons as defensive line coach at Abilene Christian. At ACU, he helped lead the program through its transition from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division I FCS and assisted in the efforts that saw the Wildcats land the nation's No. 9-ranked FCS recruiting class in 2016.

Prior to his three-season stint at Abilene Christian, Moore was the assistant recruiting coordinator at Arkansas, where he helped the Razorbacks bring in a recruiting class ranked among the nation's top 30 in 2014. His career also includes stints at Central Arkansas (interior defensive line coach/recruiting coordinator -- 2010-12), Texas A&M (defensive quality control -- 2009), Auburn (defensive administrative assistant-- 2007-08) and Hardin-Simmons (defensive graduate assistant -- 2005-06).

In addition to his prowess as a recruiter, Moore's career highlights also include helping lead Central Arkansas to the second round of the FCS playoffs in 2011 and 2012, working with Texas A&M's Von Miller, who led FBS with 17.5 sacks in 2009, and assisting with an Auburn defensive unit that ranked sixth in the nation in total defense in 2007.

I may be grasping at straws here but it's depressing to me that the last post in the football forum was from me at 11:52am and about the 1952 championship ring.

All we have to do now is kick back and let the *****'s wash over us. Looks like a good addition.

It would be nice to have a decent recruiting presence in Texas...

Why don't we just skip the salaries and pay a couple students to do some regression analysis and come up with our targets for the year.
