What's up you slap Dicks? I figured I'd stop in and say hello with it being less than 100 days until college football is back. Even though we're in for a tough season, it can't get here fast enough.

You're welcome to come and play here as long as you keep your comments Tech positive, UGA negative and have a healthy amount of amnesia regarding the events of Labor Day night 2017.

BTW, I hope you guys whip the Mutts, win your division and crush the hopes and dreams of all Bulldawg fans.

Well, I think it's in everyone's best interest to not look back on the 2017 season. So I will not bring up Labor Day 2017, I hope you're right about beating the Dawgs, but I'm a bit skeptical right now. Maybe we can win a couple we're not supposed to. I have to admit, I know nothing about y'all's squad this year, and think the Coastal won't be too good. We will see though. I'm just tired of watching these shit Playoff games.

Beat the dwags and all is forgiven.

Nonetheless, we are united in our love of the best sport in the history of mankind - college ööööing football!

Hey man, if TStan isn't seeking advice from the world renowned college football genius, Safid Deen of the Orlando Sentinel, what is he even doing?
Admittedly, the guy at the Sentinel was not even current with our personnel changes. But, however misinformed he may be, he gets paid to write about college football, and he sees 88 teams ahead of us. He has us in the same zip code as UVA and Bowling Green. Yes, the countdown is a gimmicky way to lure clicks over the summer, but it is a given there will be nine of our 2018 opponents "ranked" as better than we are. Even if that is wildly inaccurate, it's still not a good image for us.

NW and Duke will be rated higher, even though we're allegedly a 'better brand' under ol' CPJ.

And ESPN has us at # 24 in their 2018 Preseason Football Power Index. Nobody knows how the season is going to go, but I'd rather put more stock in that.

Exactly. I did this last year with the SBN rankings, and now I'm doing it with the 2017 Orlando Sentinel rankings as compared to the end of season Sagarin Rankings. See the spreadsheet below. As always, the ACC is the most underrated conference pre-season. And the SEC the most overrated. The B1G was also underrated primarily due to two teams. Iowa State who the OS ranked as 110 finished at 25. And Purdue also had a 50 point jump.

I did this sheet below really quickly so I may have missed some conference assignments.

If I get some time I may do this with the 2017 ESPN preseason numbers to see how they compare.

I didn't think Iowa State was in the B1G. Am I missing something?
