So, I was just thinking about this... Do you think there's a chance we see College Gameday on the Tech campus this week? Tech/BC is one of the ESPN Saturday Night games, and both teams are 2-0 and ranked.

I don't know if their schedule is predetermined, but, just thought it might be a possibility. My apologies if they've already announced where they'll be and it isn't Tech.

Thoughts?

I doubt they'd make it 3 straight weeks with an ACC team for Gameday.

Also, I think they're already going to Nebraska for the USC/Nebraska game.

Seems like they choose the location one week in advance.

I would bet they'll be in Lincoln or Gainesville. Even Ann Arbor probably has a better shot than us.

If we and Clemson can stay unbeaten until Sept 29th, we would have a good shot then, IMHO.

The only other thing I considered was the fact that they had followed VT for two weeks and that they'd probably want to support a different conference.

I had completely forgotten about the USC/Nebraska game. That's likely where they'll end up.

I hope not. We always suck when GameDay comes around. That'd be another jinx on that game (Thursday night, Gameday, Game after a bye week).

I was gonna post what Roy said. I think that we have lost every Gameday game we have ever played. I think we may have been the only team with two last year (I could be wrong about that), and we lost both of them.

Are you referring to the BC game or VPI? BC is on Saturday. VPI is a Thrusday game after a bye.

We "suck" when we do not play well. Enough of the loser's attitude. We can beat anyone on our schedule when we are playing well. Let's leave the ghosts of the past behind and walk with the swagger of a Miami in the 80's or an LSU in the 2000's. That swagger says we are going to kick your Arse and unless we beat ourselves there is nothing you can do about it.

Crap, I guess I was talking about VPI. I guess it was a bit early in the morning to be posting. But, that point notwithstanding, our record for those three scenarios isn't grand.

Sorry, MacDaddy. It was really meant to be more of a joke than anything. The truth of the matter is that you're likely to play a great team if you get selected for GameDay, making it less likely that you'll win. I don't have a loser's attitude about this season in any sense of the word.

ESPN has said if at the end of the year UGA and GT are both top 20 teams Gameday will be at the flats.

That would suck. I really hope that does not happen. UGA fans will outnumber us by at least 2x. Hate to say it, but it is true.

Where did you see that?

It would suck and I know many people around here kind of dont want them to come here but it does help out with some exposure. It was in an email sent to the AA from ESPN.

UGA would outnumber us 2 to 1 in our own stadium? I don't think so.

No, at the college gameday show. There would be raucous cheering while they showed the past six years' worth of highlights over and over again.

They only about equal us in the stadium.

I think they may be down here for the Clemson game. It's either that game or Cal @ Oregon.

I have a feeling they will pick the Cal - Oregon game simply because of Desean Jackson. They'll probably claim it is because they haven't been to Eugune in a while though.

Clemson @ GT will be a nice running back showdown with Choice, Spiller, and Davis.
