finding hotels near campus,,,any suggestions and if so,,,how far are these hotels from the stadium.

Holiday Inn Express is less than a quarter-mile from the stadium. They do have rooms over the net for around 100 per night. Here's the link...

Whatever you do, do NOT stay at the Days Inn near the Tech campus (across street from Fox Theater). The wife and I stayed there once a couple of years ago and it is a dump.

The Renaissance Hotel is southeast of the stadium (one block away from Varsity). Ask for North facing room on upper floor for great balcony view of Ga. Tech and the stadium! +/-$100 per night.
