no we will be at the 85 scholly limit if we sign 23 this class.

you can't have more than 25 in one class per year.
can't have more than 85 total. Have to play within those boundaries.

Unless of course a commit enrolls early or we have transfers. That's for the 85 limit only though I believe - not the 25 limit.

You have to wonder, though, how many of these "commits" are going to actually end up signing their official LOI's. It seems like several of them every year end up drifting away to other schools, and it happens to pretty much every program. We usually don't get hit with non-qualifier issues, but recruiting attrition does seem to be a fact of life.

We have 16 commits now.

We have between 7 and 9 available as the 85 limit for Fall 2009 would be hit.

We only have 9 more to give if we have some attrition like graduating early or medical problems...both of which are possible.

Do we have to save a slot for when Tarrant comes back to stay within the 85? Does that affect the # of offers remaining?

Tarrant is still on scholarship and counts against the 85. The only way that changes would be if he got convicted which is not likely to happen. It should get dropped.

Cool. I wasn't sure if was still in the 85. I'll be glad when we get him back on the field.
