Boston College - Down - It's hard to be anything but down when you lose one of the nation's top quarterbacks. They're beginning to make a midseason push though. Look for the Eagles to make some noise from here out.

Clemson - Down
- Best backfield in the country. Can't beat Davis and Spiller. Harper is a pretty good quarterback. Why the hell aren't they winning?

Duke - Up - The dookies are starting to return to normal a little now after an early season shine. They're still Duke, but they're playing A LOT better.

Florida State - Up - Contender in their division. Ponder is finally providing some consistency. Has yet to really prove anything. We'll see soon.

Georgia Tech - Up - I might be biased, but they're speaking for themselves this year. One loss coming by only three points in Blacksburg. The offense still has a LONG way to go, but it's progressing faster than normal. A stout defense is keeping them in.

Maryland - ????
Who knows what the hell is going on with these guys. They're quite possibly the MOST up and down team in the conference.

Miami - Down
Randy Shannon will get it figured out eventually. I lied. Probably not.

North Carolina - Up Yet another team who has turned it around with a chance to win the conference. Things could get ugly with the loss of Tate though.

NC State - Down - Well, down might not be a necessary thing here. They always suck.

Virginia - No change
- Same talent, different luck. I mean come on, 31-0. To DUKE?

Virginia Tech - Down - VT is playing atrocious, but they're getting the calls/bounces. The refs have to protect someone.

Wake Forest - Down
- Losses to Navy and Maryland mar the resume of WF. Skinner has potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the country, but he is going to need a supporting cast.

I wouldn't say BC is down. Their only loss was to us (a game they could have won). They beat VT and they are at the top of their division. I think they are the best team in the Atlantic and have a good chance of repeating an appearance in the ACCCG.

ATLANTIC:
BC - They play good D. Good D means you are in almost every game. Their O is improving each week as Crane settles in. BC will be a major player in their division. Project as 1st or 2nd in division.

FSU - They also play good D. Their O is also improving, but is not as consistent as BC. The second half will tell, but they seem a bit softer than BC. Project as 2nd in division, but could win it.

CU - Will most likely salvage a decent season. Good athletes, but a bad start. Should stabilize and finish 3rd, especially if Spiller returns soon. Will be bowl eligible.

UMD - How many crazy losses will they have? If they allow no more, they can finish 3rd. If not, either 4th/5th. Will be bowl eligible.

WFU - Their offense is very challenged this fall. Their D is good, but not quite good enough. Hoping this is a rebuilding year, as I'd like to see them keep it up. If they can turn it around, they could finish 3rd. Otherwise, looks like a 4th/5th finish. Probably bowl eligible.

NCSU - Just a bad team. Things are looking up on O, but the D is not good. They finish 6th in the division.

COASTAL:
VT - Played us early and won, and that should be the difference between 1st and 2nd in the division. Good D, but doesn't seem to be improving on O.

GT - Our D is very good, but flexes a bit at times. This may hurt against better teams that can score in the RZ. The O needs to turn it around in a hurry, as the D's we will face in November are for real. Possibly will win the division, but probably will finish 2nd. Probably looking at the Gator or Peach Bowl.

UNC - Could have won the division this year, but for key injuries. Still may finish 2nd, but it will be tough. Probably looking at a 3rd place finish and a nice bowl.

Miami - D is good. O looks to be coming to life. If it does, watch out! With only 2 ACC losses, they could make noiseas they play both VT and GT down the stretch. Could finish anywhere from 2nd to 5th in the division.

Dook - Cutcliffe has them playing ball, and I think they'll finish 3-3 and may be bowl eligible for the first time in a long time. Should finish 5th maybe 4th, depending on how Miami closes.

UVA - Have made a run, lately but are facing the meat of their schedule. Will be tough to finish above 6th as they are just not very powerful on offense, and don't have a top D.
