They looked like absolute dogs**t, but thankfully (for the conference) pulled it off in the 4th quarter. They looked like a bad team with just a little more talent than Nevada. Inconsistent, undisciplined, hard to watch. From that performance, I say they finish bottom third of the ACC.

Why was Herbstreit so far up SMU’s bum yesterday?

TBF, SMU did go 11-3 last year, won the AAC, and finished ranked 22nd. OTOH, the only decent (not even necessarily good) teams they beat were Tulane and Memphis. And they were playing a team that went 2-10 last year, so it should have been an easy win. Herbstreit was frontrunning.
