I agree. It's a shame what happened to Gregory's last 2 years in college after he showed as a sophomore that he could be a valuable contributor. It seems like he had a fumble or two in the NC State game in 2000 and never played much after that. It seemed like he went into the doghouse, but I'm sure it's more complicated than that.
At some point, the coaches decided that Joe Burns would be our sole survivor in the backfield. He was the only one that got any meaningful carries. Half the time, they wouldn't even give him a fullback to block...they'd bring the receivers in motion to do that task or just run him up the middle from a one-back set.
I wish Gregory well in his future endeavors.
