Cotton Bowl added to the BCS?

For traditionalists like myself, this would be a GREAT idea. It's been far too long since the Cotton Bowl Classic has been a relevant part of the bowl picture.

JoltinJacket, do you have a 360? You seem to be a late nighter like myself

While not as traditional as the Cotton, I think the chicken bowl (formerly peach) should get the nod, the folks over there just know how to put on a great bowl, always a sellout, great activities around, people like atlanta, etc.

Cotton has a lot of history, but Chicken bowl has already made the commitment to excellence already and doesn't have to play the ifs/maybes game that the Cotton does.

We'll see how it plays out though.

Well, I haven't read the article, but there's been grumblings about this since the Cotton is going to move to the Cowboy's new stadium.

While there is enormous tradition involved in the Cotton bowl I've always thought that the bowls were to reward the players. Going to Dallas Ft. Worth at this time of year is no reward...

It hasn't exactly been shorts weather around here either.

If the CFA Bowl doesn't get included in the BCS, the best thing for Atlanta that could happen would be for hte Cotton Bowl to get it. Traditionally, the Cotton gets dibs on the the SEC West team of its choice before the CFA Bowl get their selection. That would likely stop.

But seriously, what sort of conference tie-in would any new BCS bowl have?
