Could GT be getting a shot @ Palmetto Bowl in \'03?

Yes folks, there's talk of another Bowl game. The ACC-Big East in Charleston, SC @ the Citadel's delapidated stadium. The pt is that's it's more sensible than Seattle or San Jose or Boise.

ACC to get Palmetto Bowl in '03?

But can it hold 10,115 rabid football fans for one hell of a bowl (sic) game?

Where can i get tickets? And after a 0-4 start, we might have a chance to get there.

It all sounds good except for the stinky stadium.
I guess if the field's in decent shape it might not be so bad.

Otherwise, Charleston should be lovely that time of year.

We'll see how beautiful SC and the rest of the southeast is at "that time of year" if I wake up to another <10°F morning like today.

Yay for more eleventh tier bowl games with creative names and crappy venues.

It feels like an Ottawa spring here. I wish I could go back to bed.

that stadium is not only a rundown embarrassment to any school, but it is in the middle of a pretty nasty section of Charleston....if you haven't been there, you wouldn't want to....my two cents on this one....the ACC should JUST SAY NO...this doesn't do one bit of good making the ACC look better in anyone's eyes.

Not that it will matter because we will not be bowl eligible, but what an embarassment. It is one thing to play at Marist when construction is going on, but let's have some pride and stop these Fresno, UConn games.
