Could it possibly be that,

Jon Tenuta does not have a job lined up to go to.

he has stated that he has a good idea of where he will be, and PJ implied that Tenuta had told him that he is going somewhere else

i bet he is about to sign something

With the coaching carousel that has been the last month, do you honestly believe that a DC like Tenuta will have trouble getting himself a new job somewhere.

His contract was not up as of the bowl game. We're either still paying him until summer or he's gotten a decent enough settlement to take a little time off, if he chooses. And there are still a number of DC/HC positions unfilled.

Hell, as of about 13 and a half hours ago, Auburn joined the list of teams needing a DC, when Muschamp left for Texas.

I'm of the opinion that Tenuta has had a job locked up for several weeks now. Probably as the LSU defensive coordinator. They pay really well and he will have autonomy.

LSU won't announce him as DC until after their bowl game.

That's probably why he still seems without a job, I am sure he would have been hired by now if LSU wasn't interested. I am surprised he didn't interview at more HC positions, or did he?

. . . I am surprised he didn't interview at more HC positions, or did he?

Not trying to be a smart-a$$ but why are you surprised? What head coaching qualities have you seen?

Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not bashing and I wish nothing but the best for CJT. I was proud he was our DC. I just don't see HC written all over him.

Is Tenuta still occupying his old office or has he moved out and Womack moved in?

yeah that game definitely sucked for him, but he might do better with players and a coaching team that would know that he would be the HC for a while, not just one game. I figured, since he was interested in GT HC job, he might have been going for other schools too.

I don't really think that the game will have much of an impact on Tenuta's opportunities to coach else where especially as a DC....his reputation speaks for itself, although it surely wasn't a strong statement overall....no other program is going to second guess his overall abilities based on the outcome of one bowl game that surrounded a HC change in my opinion!...Although the overall outcome of the game especially on the defensive side of the game was less than impressive....John Bond on the other hand might have more difficulty since he didn't have that impressive of an offensive package displayed throughout the season...despite the fact that Chan may have tied his hands behind his back for most of the season....Bond is facing a one and done type situation where as JT reputation at GT speaks for itself!

No one considering CJT for a DC job will hold the freaking Humanitarian Truck Stop Bowl against him.

As I have said before, our suckitude in that game was not something Tenuta could have prevented.
