-Ball looked more mobile out there. He was moving out of the pocket and had a couple of good runs. Did have one int that wasn't completely his fault IIRC.
-Choice was able to run more or less at will, even though we were running the same counter every time.
-We kept the offensive play calling very simple today. We couldn't have run more than 10 different plays all day. Offense was effective every though they knew what we were about to do.
- Still missing a good number of tackles on our kickoff coverage
-Brooks continues to impress at punter
- refs gift wrapped the first TD for Duke.
- had a Saftety on Duke taken away from us as well.
-Bennett came in at the half. Looked very very sharp, IMO. Him and Greg Smith really seem to be on the same page. He really seemed to be in control of the offense out there.
- We were letting Duke have the underneath routes all day. They burn us on a couple long passes. most of the passing yards came on dinking and dunking.
- Evans seems to be getting better with his field vision when running the ball. Still think he needs to work on hitting the hole quick. Gonna be a good one for us the next 3 years.
Everything went as planned more or less. We were able to get a lot of guys on the field. Started subbing guys at the half. Could have scored a good bit more, but we called the dogs off.
Feeling much better going into THWG week.
GO JACKETS!!!!
THWG!!!!
I disagree on Reggie's INT as well. Poor decision. But he had a good day nonetheless and got his touch back on the deep balls. Calvin dropped a sure TD on a bomb - couldn't tell if Talley (Duke's DB) got a hand in there to knock it loose but Calvin has definitely made tougher catches.odw said:just a few notes off the top of my head

Maybe so, but he's been "lucky" before (Clemson), he just seems to never give up on the ball.techjacket said:JJ's TD catch was luck but a very nice catch indeed.
Kickoffs are terrible, but remember punting is part of ST. Certainly not terrible there.techjacket said:STs are just terrible. There's nothing really more to say there.
