CPJ on 790 @ 11:30

Thanks for the tip GTK.

Regarding FSU's defense (I'm paraphrasing from memory):

"Everybody says 'you can't run the ball on those guys!' ... You know why FSU is 8th in the country against the rush? Because of about 8 zillion negative yards in sacks."
-- Coach Johnson

Ya gotta love him! He just wants to win...running, throwing, whatever it takes. We've got a winner here folks. It's just a matter of time before we start reeling off the "W's"!

GO CPJ!

I can already see the message board topic for Sunday:

"Why didn't we pass more?"

Going from a very fuzzy memory here mixed with a bad head cold:

1/Said folks give QBs way too much credit when you win and way too much blame when you lose.

2/Said UVA just lined their strength (big o line) with our strength (good dline) and they beat us. Sometimes that happens.

3/Said he'll do whatever it takes to win. Someone said to him "you've got a great per catch average, you should pass it more" (I was thinking, of course, because we've run like crazy to set that up)

4/Said about the QB situation that Josh is the better athlete and that Jaybo would play if he practices better. Said Jaybo had a pretty good week of practice last week. We'll see...

5/Said UVA just executed better than we did. They had many more plays than we did and did well when they had the ball. They just flat executed their plan better than ours. Btw, he talked about specific halftime adjustments which we DID make on offense.

6/Closed it by mentioning that someone told him that GT hasn't beaten FSU since he was in high school.

That's about all I can remember. He was great. Not much coach speak, very calm direct delivery. No nonsense stuff.

I'm VERY proud to have him as our HC!!

I remembered another good line (or bad line depending on how you look at it) addressing Nesbitt's success as a passer:

"You can count on one hand the number of times all season that Nesbitt has had the time to set his feet before throwing the ball."

'preciate the poop!

I look forward (that's f-o-r-w-a-r-d as in Forward) to every game.

We need to beat FSU this weekend. Help us, Coach. We need you.
