CPJ Radio Show - Sep 5th

After listening to both the radio show and the post-practice interviews yesterday, CPJ was clearly appalled at how bad we played. I think it brings it into perspective. There have been mixed opinions among the fan base about whether we played bad on offense, or if BC is just REALLY good on defense. No denying that they have a good defense, but based on CPJ's attitude yesterday we have a lot to clean up before we get into the tough part of our schedule at the end of this month.

Maybe the team has performance anxiety.

I can't help but laugh when he is that negative. Probablymeans things are either gonna turn out real bad or real good. 2015 was the former, but I am hoping for 2016 is the latter...

Last time he was that negative we went 3-9.

At least he said quote: we had a great camp, which is why I was so surprised at how we played.

He was negative DURING camp last year, which is more of a foundation problem vs. just having a bad game. We started off slow in 2014 as well.

Here's to hoping that everything can be cleaned up!

We had A-backs not go in motion several times. Re-watch the Matthew Jordan TD. It was supposed to be a toss, but no one was there and he ran it in.

It looked like only MJ thought it was a toss. The BB came up for the dive right where the toss would be.

I think the toss was the audible while the QB follow was what was called. Either way, the play wasn't meant to go right. MJ just improvised that.

Paul said that play was the exact same playcall we used to score our final touchdown with mills, except mills didnt go in motion nor did he go to the left to get the pitch forcing mj to improvise and run it the same direction since the blocking was set up that way.

There was no audible. The playcall was a bb pitch like the winning play. Simply we had a freshman mess up in mills. Paul discussed this on the call in show

At least MJ had enough control of the ball to not actually let the pitch go thinking someone was there. Imagine him pitching the ball to grass.

Pretty standard CPJ show in my opinion.

By the way, was the question about Bama a troll job? What the hell was that about?

i think mills called the audible.. decided to go the other way and take his defender with him.. better to be lucky than good?

Ahh, did not hear the call in show.

PJ said Mills "didn't get the check" during the show so that leads me to believe it was an audible and Mills didn't get the message.

No, it was a handoff to Mills. It was the same play we ran to end the game.
