cpj talks about wommack

Yeah. It seemed like JT wanted to test the waters somewhere else (DC at bigger program/ head coach).

Well seems like JT took the cards off the table first...or at least that's the impression you get from PJ's version of the dicussions...It's refreshing to hear that it's a 1 year deal...testing the waters & getting a feel for each other's game plan etc... plus if things don't work out then we're back in the market for a new DC...plus if the coaching schemes/styles are similiar then it's an easier transition considering the play book & current defensive players we already have on roster...so we shall see how it works out...

I wonder if PJ is or has already addressed the players about the coaching change since the story was leaked in the papers...or do they just go on with the bowl game practice...I think I would call a brief meeting to discuss the decisions & offer for JT to be in the room if he desired I w let the players know it was mutual...plus to diffuse any questions/rumors that are sure to be circulating...Then I would tell the players my office door would be open if they'd like to discuss any thing one/one...I think that is how I would handle it....ON one hand you can't ignore it. Yet you have to be careful not to dwell on it too long & close the brief meeting with a TEAM on 3 & THWG chant....

Hrmm.
Unlike Tenuta, whose 2-1/2 year contract extends through the first six months of 2008, Wommack will operate under a one-year deal, Johnson said.

That doesn't really jive with what was posted here earlier.
