Crazy Stat

How much longer can Stoops hang on?

The college football bubble isn't sustainable.

Insane standards for facilities, training, coaching, and scheduling are taking us to a bubble burst. College Football as we know it won't exist in 10 years. There is too much demand and not enough money.

Interesting stat, cyp.

Yep. Last I hard, there only like 10 programs profiting from college sports, while the rest are running a deficit. I'd bet that number is in the single digits now. Where is the breaking point? Will they just keep jacking up the tuition/fees to compensate?

The breaking point is when espn can no longer pay its bills and the checks to the schools stop rolling in

They are going to turn CFB into the NFL where dynasties are forbidden and parity reigns from year to year. Once Saban returns to Hell all will be revealed.

This is why the ga state and ksus of the world shouldn't exist.. They water down the product and lose money in the process

In the last 10 years Saban has 4, Meyer has 3, and then 3 other coaches have 1. If you go back to 2006, it's 10 different coaches in 10 previous years.

Saban and Meyer be like: college football is so easy. How is everyone not good at this?

Correction to earlier post. Once both Saban and Meyer have gone back to Hell all will be revealed.

What's changed is not just that Saban and Urban are great coaches, but that coaches who win one no longer have permanent job security. Larry Coker, Gene Chizik, Les Miles, etc.

Anyone here really think Dodd would have coached Tech as long as he did if he coached today? His teams experienced a decline (granted from best in the nation to merely darn good) that would never be tolerated today.
