CB made a dumb play keeping the drive alive.
Safety goes out with shoe problem, nobody covers midfield for a big gain.
LB out of position and big run.
CB made a poor decision
DL on XP, dumb (if it gets added to kickoff)
DE Personal Foul Dumb
Mid Field is wide open against us.
DL is playing perfectly well!

Sims is not playing well at all. Sick or hurt?
OL is playing perfectly well!

Players need to execute.
 
2nd Quarter:

O-Didn't seem to take a series of downs real seriously.
Punter-One good punt, three others not so good.
Safety Aggressive up front, next play over the top for a long gain. (Who knows the call?)
Same Safety made a big hit for a fumble!
Goal D-Good!! We have confused their QB and generally playing good assignment football today. It's more of a run defense now.
Coaching: I think they purposely are trying to control tempo and not let games become a slugfest that we can't win. Good Job here IMO.
Defensive stop again!
Mason having a good game...this is part of the Coaching choosing ball control more. I think he just got the pros to look at him by outrunning Miami's defense...great run. Great juke by Gibbs on his too.
But, our OL has started to decay in the second half. Not as good protection, few gaps to run. Miami has done something to improve on their side.
Sims looks lost in my opinion. Decisions seem very slow and passes are short frequently. Maybe he is hurt but maybe we should bring in Yates?

We can do better but we're in the game due to two strips and one hit for a fumble!
 
3rd Quarter: Just summarizing....

Easy to guess the big pass play on first play of the half.
Sims is really struggling IMO, but they are playing close to the vest and competing so that could be great coaching.
Great Call - Gibbs TD! Backs are having great games.
D STOP! player 0 and 1 on the play.
Ouch, high risk play after the Turnover on Downs. But we recovered and as usual this year, when we are ready to turn the game, we miss. Frustrating. BAD Snap by the way.
Defense is Wearing down. We need a stop AND the O to drive some.
 
4th Qtr

D Stop! We're up one still.
STUPID penalty on the kickoff. Twice Gibbs did it all and it comes back. GAME OVER MISTAKE AGAIN! (once by a ref).
Sims misses ....
5 guys defending the run. Need to stop it. It's 7 against five.
Missed tackle #1
Missed tackle #1 and #14, TD.
"Need INT and 2 point conversion" Called it again!!!
10 passes in the dirt and the the RB was wide open right in front of him.
Punter hurt us badly in this game. Bad kick again.
BUT We get another 4th down stop!
PI! No call on McGowan.
HOLDING CALL...Another dumb play to kill our chances.
Poor Snaps from our freshman Center all game....plus they rush right over him. He's very slow to react but he's a freshman.
Stop with 50 seconds to go. But huge yardage differential in the game between the two punters. Our punter's style is not conducive to kicking consistently good kicks and in this game, we needed that.
Sims knee was down I think. Yep.
HOLDING CALL on what would have been the first down. Just let Gibbs center the ball to himself ....

This loss is not on the coaches, they schemed us to be competitive. It's on the players. Players made some plays and we got three gimme turnovers. But players took it all away too. We are desperate for OL depth and it's going to be a long couple of years unless we can find two stud OL from the portal. It was an entertaining game but in the end, it looked like the rest.
 
Watched GA State play Louisiana and both of those teams looked better coached and better prepared four the game vs what GT is putting on the field.

Just trying to measure things better instead of wasting time getting angry over things I can't control.
