Cutcliffe says he won't leave Duke

I think you just confirmed his point. If the right "opportunity" comes along Cutcliffe will go running.

Yes, but your girlfriend is being safe and is contacting other Stingtalkers to take your place should you jump ship.

Well, at least for now, good for Cutcliffe and good for Duke. He's being paid pretty well and the pressure at Duke is self inflicted versus what he'd face at TN. He may have just decided that with his health problems it's not worth it at any price.
 
I think he's also smart enough to want to be the guy who follows the guy who follows the guy. Whoever Tennessee brings in to replace Fulmer - he'll have three, maybe four years, and Cutcliffe will come in after that.
 
Cutcliffe sucks. UT will not get him because they don't want to be a 7-5 program for all eternity. They'll make a splashy hire and probably pull someone with NFL experience. Not Lane Kiffin, but I wouldnt be suprised if they get Butch Davis. They like the pro set and need to recruit nationally, so an NFL guy fits. Darkhorse guess... Herm Edwards.
