D. Morgan "near decision"

Anyone have good idea where he will end up?
Will it be GT or Ohio State?? Or perhaps another one of the colleges that is ranking high on his list....Anyone out there know (hiveredtech) where D. Morgan will spend the next 4 years...outside of D. Morgan (family) of course....Just curious....
Thoughts?
 
Well of course I would like him to spend the next 4-5 years in Atlanta, but I just don't have a good feeling about this because of the proximity of all of his other college choices compared to us. My guess is he will commit to Ohio State, but I hope I'm wrong.

One of the Hive recruiting gurus (writes for Scout.com) is reporting that Morgan is a Jacket!

I'm not a subscriber but here goes......

"Derrick Morgan blah blah blah big, fast, strong blah blah blah will attend Georgia Tech blah blah blah blah blah blah. Says Morgan, ' "blah blah blah great coaching staff blah blah blah great environment & fans blah blah blah plus best mix of quality football and education available'."
 
Looks like a great pickup, and a good kid in the academics dept too. He reports a 3.8 GPA and a 1480 on his SAT.
 
Headline is great "Tech lands another MONSTER Recruit!!"
Can't wait to see who fills up remaining spots as mentioned in article....

great to see these recruits getting a head start & enrolling early (jan).....They'll get to experience the "taste of sweet success!!!" GO JACKETS....:wow:
I'd can't wait to see rest of this class fill out....& see what our rankings are at end of season....Most of all though....would love to see them all on the flats next year living up to the HYPE!!

I could be wrong, but my impression is that we don't get to fill any more "slots" unless someone (either a recruit or a schollied player) doesn't make grades.

Is that correct?
 
Not making grades is one thing. They might transfer out or quit the team as well. The coaches must be confident we will lose some guys to those type of situations.

Correct...anything above 16 recruits means someone is not coming back due to either medical, academic, or playing time transfer.
 
Wow, just awesome. We are in for some great football in the coming years!!!

(btw, I read that this guy has a 1480 on the SAT, surely they changed the scoring of that thing, right???)

edit: oops, sorry, already mentioned by RP...
 
Well I guess you guys can just say "I told you so" after my skepticism about him commiting us.

Anyways, WELCOME TO TECH D MORG!!

This season just keeps on getting better and better!!

I thought we had 18 scholarships to hand out? This whole recruiting thing just confuses the heck out of me.
