The insiders on this board may be able to help me. I pulled up scout today and I saw this guy. He is listed us as "high intrest". He goes to school with Jaybo and I think there is another guy from flowery branch we are looking at. Do you know if we are going to offer him. I think we may be looking at him more as a bback than a linebacker. Which would be good for us as everyone else is looking at him as a linebacker. We seem to be in the reverse situation here as with Pridmore and Florida last year.

We are also looking at Izaan Cross from Flowery Branck.
 
Yes...Daniel Drummond has moved from West Hall to Flowery Branch. He likes GT a lot and came to the Elite Junior Day on campus. He does not have an offer yet, but is expected to eventually get one. He is being recruited as a B-Back. btw...he is a big Auburn fan and his dad went there.

Izaan Cross, a DE (6-5, 250, 4.7) at Flowery Branch already has an offer from us and is high on GT. I would not be surprised to see him commit at some point, but he also wants to extend out his recruitment. This is similar to the Uzzi deal. He attended the Elite Junior Day.

Jaybo's younger brother Conner is a WR there and has not been offerred by anyone yet...but he could end up at GT one way or the other. He came to the Junior Day with Cross and Drummond.
 
Thanks, guys. I appreciate all of the info. I will say this. Drummonds stats are pretty good at the linebacker spot. I think he piled up 100+ tackles. I guess if the bback position doesn't work out we could move him. From my understanding the state is full of top notch linebackers. I have not really heard anything about the offensive side of recruiting. Hivered do you have any info on the offensive recruits out there that are possibilities for us?

Conner is a sophomore this year and will be a junior next year. He will be moving to the Qb position from WR. I would be willing to bet that we offer him as a QB/WR as part of the 2010 class.

Terrelle Pryor.

Rumors are that he will not sign this year, sit out, and then sign with us over OSU, Penn St, Michigan, Alabama, and Pitt.. as long as we hold a scholly for him. By then, he will have been able to visit everyone that has offered him and 'narrowed down' his choices
 
Hey Red, Can you explain Junior Day to me. Is it open or by invitation only and what occurs during the day? Obviously offers are extended so there must be private meetings or something. Please write as long as you can. We enjoy it up here in hinterland.

Elite Junior Day is held the Saturday before Signing Day and mostly goes to kids that will be getting early offers. It is invitation only. We had 35 +/- there this year. The historic recruiting class two years largely came from this day where we had a much smaller group of 15 that included Dwyer, Jones, Donley, Jackson, Nesbitt, Jefferson, Claytor, White, etc.

We have another Junior Day during spring practice. This will be a much larger group...including kids we want to come to the summer camps, kids we are evaluating, and kids who also came to the Elite Junior Day. We will also invite some kids for the Class of 2010 on this day. This day is also invitation only.

I have heard we may have two of these during spring practice.

Also...we will have tons of invidual unofficial visits during spring practice.

CPH should get him to come here for a year while he's narrowing down his choices. Talk about a different type of one and done. :laugher:

This kid will play for Rich Rod at Michigan. Good as done!
