Daniels Out?

All I have heard is that he is still doubtful, and they will wait until practice today to see if he will play or not. I would expect an announcement late in the day today....anyone hear otherwise?

Quote in the Macon paper from Gailey yesterday after Daniels not practicing: "It would take a minor miracle for him to be able to play Saturday." Also mentioned that he is questionable for the game against the turtles on the 9th...

Let's hope that something changes quickly!

That is not good. We need to control the ball and PJ our best weapon. RB is going to have to look a whole lot better than he did against UNC. UM does not have a great offense but they are going to score some points. we have to be able to answer them when they do.

There are also others....less we forget our "ACEEEEE" in the hole! He has size and decent speed, and can be effective between the tackles. Jimmy and Jonathon can lead him through!! ::rockon::

What's up with Daniels? Haven't been able to find anything on him except what's posted here. What type injury has he received? How long is he expected to be out of the lineup?

Besides running

his blocking on passes will be missed. The advantage that we get from improving the Def with Henderson back is now negsted by PJs loss. The long shot chance went to "dream on"

PJ suffered a leg injury, don't remember the specifics, in the first half against UNC. That's why Woods had the bulk of the carries after the first quarter.

At this point in Gailey's tenure, there are no more excuses. If PJ is out, Gailey has to have someone ready to step in. You have to have them ready at any time. Woods and Grant are capable of running the ball well. But it may not matter if PJ, Woods, or Grant run the ball if our offensive line doesnt cut it. You have to run right at them with some misdirection. They are too fast for anything slow developing. Woods and Grant are just going to have to step up for Gailey or it could be a hell of a long day (remember, Hamilton only finished 1 FSU game in his career and this could be similar for Ball if we dont have a running game)

you're right when some of us were at practice we should have asked him why he was only using pj and not giving any practice minutes to wood and grant. we are fifth in rushing offense ahead of fsu, miami, ncst. and va tech so our offensive line must be doing something right.
