In a college football hierarchy does the specific offensive and defensive coaches answer to the OC and DC or all answer directly to the HC? In other words, are the LB, DB, DL coaches under the DC? Specifically, I'm going around my buttocks to get to my elbow to ask if a DC or OC already has experience in bossing or managing coaches beneath them? (I'm an IE. I wanna see an org chart... :smirk:).

I think you've got it about right....defensive position coaches report to the DC who reports to the HC and similar for offense. So this logic would tell you that Tenuta has plenty of experience with coaches under him.

While I am all for him as interim coach, if he does not show a spark in the offense like we need then I fear that nothing will change with this team.

Does he have any offensive experience in the past? Maybe just handing it over 100% to Bond would be the answer. I dunno.

Thanks for the reply. So many of the rumored HCs are OCs/DCs, I was wondering about their experience "managing" other coaches. Sounds like it's not that far of a stretch from an OC/DC to a HC.

I would say not...I tend to think of Coordinators as "middle management"...A stepping stone to the big leagues of HC.
