Defense! Defense!

Ok, I hope this turns out to be true. Paul Johnson is a great hire! I know almost all of us will get behind him.

We should all know this though - now that he is our head coach, the key to how good we can be is:

DEFENSE!

I am young and poor, but I will give $200 to Jon Tenuta today for him to stay. If we keep him, we will be a top 10 team soon. I know/hope our powers that be understand that we have to have great defense. If Coach Tenuta moves on, we must get somebody in here that can keep our defense in the top 20. Please God, let us put all the pieces together for championships (that is the goal right), and not just 1 or 2.

Our biggest recruit in the last 20 years: JON TENUTA STAY AT TECH!

I know lots of people wanted Hatcher, but on the D side of the ball, Hatcher just brought GSU its worst D in YEARS. Johnson did not have a Stellar D but it was still enough to bring him to three national championship games in a row and win two of three!

Now I'm not so sure. Tech is in Atlanta, Tech made a big statement/commitment, PJ needs a top-notch DC and would probably give him lots of autonomy.

D you need talent
D you need to practice against a team regularly that runs an offense you face.

No team runs the TO -> not good for D
He has never been at a school with talent -> not good

Gets the talent here -> good
Runs spread not TO -> good for D

We should be fine. His coord D scheme isn't bad. But his Dcoord isnt coming here anyway.

Put a pipe in it..don't rub salt in my wounds. You want to bitch about GSU's D then bitch about their D coordinator. Last I checked Navy's D was terrible.
