Defense vs Uga

I know that we gave up 42 points on Saturday but I was very impressed with our defense. For the most part, we did not let them run and made them beat us by passing. Yes they had a huge passing game but for heavens sake it's freakin muhhamed massaqueer( I'll be glad to see him leave this year). I'm lookin for maybe a top 10 year next year.

BUT, I think we've been just plain lucky on a lot of plays where the opponent didn't complete their passes.
We're getting whipped too much in our secondary. I'd like to see Womack strongly address this before we hit the field again.

J. Tarrrant FR CB...probably back next year

We WILL get better. Imagine this group this time next year. How about 2010 when they are all JR/SR. SICK!
 
We may be looking at a top 5 team in 2010. But all i care about is beating the mutts nest year. Right now they think that their defense just played bad and they think that the acc still sucks so we need a couple of consecutive wins against them.

I'm actually feeling good about what our secondary looks like next year. We missed a bunch of games from our top corners this year in Jahi and Dominique. Don't forget that we also didn't have Tarrant this year. We relied very heavily on first year players and those guys stepped up at some very key moments (like Cooper and Rashad against FSU). We got some key contributions from Michael Peterson (r-frosh) and Mario Butler (soph) was in there most of the time. I think the fact that we had to play so many young guys will really benefit us next year.
