DUKE and GW had good defense plans: Cheat LBs up and over to strong side, which was allowing them to go untouched to the pitch. It looked as if they were startng to give up their reads on the FB. Obviously a random pass would have them play more honest.. ie BeBe in Duke game, but if teams start puting us in 2nd or 3rd and long we better install some new wrinkle.

Josh Nesbitt has the ability to negate this cheat. Jaybo does not.
And poor, poor Booker. nm.

Spot on with the JN point! Perhaps a fake quick pitch w/ naked bootleg the other way. Something to keep the defense off balance. Saturday the CU defense will be on.

Wait, I thought all summer long from looking at the Navy websites that if a team is cheating to one side or another, then you audible to the other side. I thought that was part of the magic of CPJ's offense -- that plays could easily be changed from one side to other on the line. So are you telling me that is not happening? If not, then CPJ needs to lay a fire under Jaybo and Book for not calling the right audible.

Secondly, what strong side? When we are unbalanced, is that what you are talking about--because our usual formation does not have a strong side -- are you saying the strong side is the side which we are motioning to? If so, then CPJ already runs plays that play against defenses that overplay the "strong side" -- he runs that A-back counter play--several times versus Duke it was effective.

Yesterday's game was a surprise in the closeness of the score. However, we should have seen this coming with Booker starting.

It is possible to take 2 things in this O away. Yesterday we had effictivly 3 taken away because there was no danger in Booker running. So the other teams D could take away the pitch and the dive and only had to worry about the passing because Booker wasn't going to break one.

CPJ said it wouldn't be until the second year his offense is fully implemented. JN's playmaking ability has given us big gains even when we weren't crisp enough with the option, particularly in the BC game. And so far, we are doing a good bit better than the 1-11 Navy had CPJ's first season.

one problem i see is we dont get any movement at the point of attack on the dive play. THe dive really hasnt been a threat on the option. The DT's have been stuffing it without any need for help

Clemson will run the same defense GW and Duke ran against us. IF and this is a huge IF Josh Nesbitt plays he will have a field day.
