dems, does CPJ have a bonus for winning the Georgie game?

i think u just answered ur own question, or maybe there's something much deeper to that document

kind of disappointed me to see that
**EDITED TO ADD**
it wouldnt bother me if it was in there. I think winning that game is very important and it doesnt hurt to incentivize things that are more important than others, like for instance, the ACC ch. game

If we need to give a coach incentives to beat UGAy, then he isn't the right one for us; our coach should want to beat the sh!t out of them regardless of monetary rewards. IMO

isnt he supposed to win the ACC championship? he gets a bonus for that

the UGA game is just a bigger deal to me than most i guess, it is what it is

Sure he is, and I'm not a big fan of coaches getting incentives for stuff like that either. However, I'm more ok with it than I am for an incentive based on one game, rather than for the crown jewel for the culmination of an especially successful season - a conference (or national) championship.

Look I dont want to read too much into this. I dont know why winning the UGA game isnt in the contract. maybe PJ didnt want it or need it in there, or DRad, whatever. It doesnt matter all that much but it wouldnt bother me if it was in there. Does that sound better? Either way, lets get on with recruiting and on tospring and seeing what he can do and develop here!

Sh!t man, I wouldn't mind seeing it in there either. But I do understand if he didn't want it...Why don't all season ticket holders come up with a way to compensate the coaches for that Win..Say we pony up 10$ per seat. Maybe those of you who have more than 4 could throw in what ever you feel is right. Now thats not much but if you multiply it by say 30k, now thats a chunk of change to be divided by the coaches. HC=30% DC, OC=15% each and so on....Now 56Jacket I nominate you to head up this little deal. We should probably check with somebody to see if that would be a no-no with NCAA first

Didnt some of Nutt's pay at ARK hinge on what he did, paid for by boosters? My best friend grad. last dec. with a ChemE degree, and he and about 10 of his ChemE buddies made a deal to not contribute any money untill GT beat ugag. I talked to him alot about how that was bad etc......but im a football fan not a GT Alum so i cant hide that i like the fact that they dont want to give money unless we beat ugag on the field of play. Just so everybody here has a chance to hate me... i am a typical ugag fan... i'm just not married to my sister and I pull for GT! I buy season tickets when i can afford them and when i cant i still go to 3+ games a year.

A bonus for beating your rival? Scoff. You bonus is being able to walk around for a year with the honor and pride of beating your rival. If that ain't enough for you then clean out your desk.

the rivalry means more to the players and alums than it ususally does to a coach who hasnt been around it ...
you think chan will care about the UGA/GT game next year?
it never hurts to sweeten the deal...

I think after we fired Chan (0-6) it became very clear what the bonus for beating U[sic]GA is. Need I say more?

The incentive is you beat Georgia or you lose your job.

See: Gailey, Chan

Also, isn't it unconventional to have a bonus for beating a rival? Is their any precedent?

Maybe Gailey would have won if we put 250K for that :P :P

Chan didn't lose money by being fired. Assuming he gets another job with his 'ok' record and experience in both levels, he will make money out of it.

PJ's payoff is 75% if he is fired, so I guess that's an incentive for winning against UGA. I am just curious, when you fire a coach that has a losing record/season, do you still have to honor the contract payoff?

Also, the comments were just based on money payoff, aside from money, I am of the opinion that PJ is a winner and that's incentive enough.
