Derrick Morgan STEM Camp

Yes, please. This is an awesome idea.

Tech should do something like this for local high schools. Have a program that runs for several weeks, make it free, and invite every local 6th - 10th grade class to attend for a day. Run it in the Spring so the football team can volunteer to help.

Students win because they get a field trip, learn about STEM, and could become inspired to pursue a STEM career. Tech wins because it excites local kids about Tech, encourages them to apply, and advances STEM in the school system. GTAA wins because they'll create future fans and can show off Tech to some potential recruits.

Didn't know he had an MBA (albeit one that sounds made up), but good for DM to get a 2nd degree while still playing. It's rare enough that an NFL player finishes his first degree while playing. Impressive.

Morgan majored in business management at Georgia Tech, but also studied science and technology there. He is also a graduate of the University of Miami’s Executive MBA for Artists and Athletes program.

I doubt Miamuh's BoR, unlike the State of Georgia BoR, has an agenda to keep MBAs flowing to UoF or F$U & probably exhibits a bit more flexibility in their degrees. Their graduate business school has a pretty good rep - I even know a few alumni - and this looks like something we'd love to have at NATS.

Harvard offers something similar, though it's not an MBA.

Bravo Derrick! I hope T-Stan and CPJ have seen this, not to mention Prez Peterson.
