DIAZ to Penn St as DC

He's found his level.

Not every good, or even great, OC or DC has what it takes to be a great HC. There is no shame in that. Football coaching has been the the best example of the Peter Principle that I have seen in my lifetime.
 
Good move by Penn State and Diaz. He can rob some south Florida players who want to play in front of 100k folks at Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan instead of a smattering of folks in front of a alum hired coach in a crappy pro stadium in Miami.

This will hurt Miami recruiting. If I were Diaz, I'd be all over 4* and 5* athletes in south Florida like a duck on a Junebug. Come to Penn State. Play in front of 100k+ every home game.
 
this sucks.....e should have bern our DC and then our new coach after next year

Dude, a recruiting contest in SoFla between Cristobal and Diaz is like a fight between prime Mike Tyson and . . . you.

And besides all of that, I grew up in SoFla, and relatively few dudes down there want to go to Pennsylvania and freeze their asses off all winter. We would laugh our asses off in January at the TV news watching all the folks dealing with all that snow and öööö. I was accepted at MIT and one of the reasons I chose Tech instead was that Atlanta was about as far north as I wanted to go . . . no way did I look forward to freezing my ass off in Baaaaaaawstan half the year.

You should seriously consider shutting the öööö up.

So players want to play in front of a smattering of folks in front of a mediocre coach (Cristobal is just a man crush for a few rich boosters) instead of playing in front of a rabid fanbase of 100k?

You're a dumbass if you'd go to Miami and play 15 miles from campus in an empty stadium over a full Penn State stadium against Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Iowa, Nebraska. Much better to have the home slate of Wake, Duke, GT, NC State...
