I've never seen a game with as many big plays, be so horribly called. When we scored a 30+ yard TD on a reverse, you would have thought it was an incomplete pass or something.
**** SEC homers. This is getting ridiculous.

Well the show was on the SEC Network. What did you expect? Yes they were homers, but I think thought were actually fairly knowledgeable about our team and had nice things to say about us. They definitely talked about Miss State more, but again, it's the SEC network....

I don't know...How about getting excited when there is a big play for either team. I know they have a contract with the SEC, but they aren't announcers for the SEC, they are announcers for a college football game.
Stop playing ****ing favorites and call the game as it happens. We were gashing them on offense and it sounded like a golf tournament. Pathetic.

That doesn't excuse blatant homer-ism. You're supposed to be covering SEC football, not pulling for the team from that conference on television. "What do you expect??" isn't a good excuse.

He did call it the FCS division for pretty much the entire first half. I guess if you're not in the SEC, you're not in FBS.

In fairness, they constantly were talking about how impressive we were. Of course, it was also a back handed compliment. As in, Tech will compete for the top of the ACC was repeated forever. Which was basically saying "hey SEC, it's okay to lose to the top of the ACC conference ...".

Not very knowledgeable when we had a 3rd and 8 and they said it was a definite passing down.

i think they were hinting to the fact that typically a defense would be predicting and assuming that someone would pass. which generally is a correct assumption.

it definitely made that draw play the perfect call.

I'd typically agree with you, but that's not how the guy presented it at all. He seemed like he spent the week reading up on Dan Mullens' life story and glanced at our team page on ESPN.com last night in a drunken stupor. If you'd caught him at halftime and asked "Answer quick, who is MSU playing?" I'm sure he would have responded "Georgia. State! I meant Georgia State."
