UNC crapped the bed tonight against the Hokies and likely will fall to the 15-20 spot in the next poll. So question is that if Clemson and FSU knock the Dwags and the Golden Domers respectively out of the top 10, this weekend, will our excuse of the toughest schedule in America still ring true if we don't end up with at least a .500 winning percentage this year?

Why do öööö like this?

We have threads making excuses before the season starts and now threads countering the excuses being made before the season starts.

How about we play some games first?

i'm not gonna play any games at all dude

Because of two seasons of "The Most Historic Transition in all of College Football", and now "One of the Toughest Schedules in FBS" to temper Tech fans' expectations, I am just ready to see Tech win more than we lose. I want to see the Yellow Jackets go Bowling, and knock a few teams off of their lofty pre-season perches.

Bullshit. This thread was all about constructing gallows.

Well, we play both Clemson and UGA, just like we play both UNC and VT. Not sure how one winning when they play each other (which is the only possible outcome) changes the toughness of our schedule.

UNC was always a bit of a paper tiger. They didn't beat any really good teams last year, and avoided Clemson.

UNC looked like crap tonight mainly because the OL looked lost. I hope they don't fix the problems; but if they do they could be a legit top 15 team when we play them.

You mean what literally every analyst in the country has been saying? On paper, Tech has one of the 5 toughest schedules in America. But hey, helluvaparamedic says it’s not that tough, so we should win 12 this year.
