Thanks Law-Bee,

I'm surprised to see Bobby Bowden as far down the line as he is. Very surprised.

Interesting to took at the ACC schools and where they rank on this list. I too was surprised at B. Bowden's salary (#20), I figured he made as much as say a Phil Fulmer (#10) or at least Joe Paterno (#14).
Although I guess FSU doesn't have the $$$ of those two schools.

Chan (#43) actually makes a little less than O'Leary (#42). Butch Davis (#15) better win quick at UNC making that kind of cash. Ted Roof must be living on food stamps at Duke (#80).

One thing to keep in mind is that even though they try ti include all salary, benefits, perks, etc., you can't take any of these figures as gospel. They are probably pretty close in terms of how they relate to each other, but Bobby Bowden for example is likely to have revenue sources that aren't included.

Kirk Ferentz has got to be the most overpaid guy on the list, closely followed by Charlie Weis.

Chris Peterson looks like the best bargain on the list.

Until I saw this list, I didn't know about Bob Stoops contract at Oklahoma. Do you see how his salary is only 100 dollars more than Weis'? That's because his contract stipulates that he has to be the highest paid coach in Div. I-A. His salary will probably go up even more next year to be more than Saban.

I had no idea Petrino was making that much at L'ville.
By the way, how is the Cardinal basketball program faring lately now that football has fully emerged?

You yungins probably don't remember the glory days of Howard Shnellenberger(?), but he was the guy who put L'ville on the map after putting Miami on the map before UM was "Da U".

Howard may have bent some rules, but he is one heck of a football coach and marketeer.

Howard is still on the list at #82
