and Teammate Set Nettles close to Tech Commitment? These would be great pick-ups if they do indeed occur. Hopefully, they know what they'll be missing if they go elsewhere.

Was the old Recruiting coordinator really that bad, or is this guy just that good? I like the schools we seem to be competing against this year compared to previous years.

Giff Smith is doing a tremendous job as Recruiting Coordinator.

Geoff Collins is doing a tremendous job in High School Relations and has organized superb unofficial visit experiences, camp experience, Elite Junior Day, etc. etc. He sets the table perfectly for our aggressive and relentless recruiters.

CG is doing a tremendous job sealing the deal and making recruits comfortable once Smith, Jean-Marie, Collins, Modkins, Coach D, Kelly, and Hunter bring em in.

The energy factor is light years apart from previous years.

From what I have heard regarding David Wilson, and I have heard this from some within the GTAA... he was the laziest individual working in the Athletic Department. David Wilson was not good at all.

That said, the new staff are having a tremendous year. This may be the best recruiting year we've had since the Darryl Smith, Key Fox class. And it could even be better than that. Unfortunately, because we can only take 17, it won't. But regardless, these new guys know how to sell GT. That and we have an AD who knows how to sell GT. Like RM said in another thread.. Butch Brooks has also done an outstanding job making inroads with High School's across the country and running top of the line camps.

I have really missed the offseason excitement the past few years. Still not sure why it took so long to make some of the changes that were finally made (well, ok, maybe I am), but it is already paying off. I'm so excited to see actual RESULTS so quickly after the changes, too.

DJ and Seth, you know in your hearts where you should be. Don't settle for any less!!!

As I have stated a couple of times, DJ Donley was the difference in the Charlton-Calhoun state championship game....Indians 27 Jackets 21. A game with a wealth of Div 1 players in the '06,07,08 classes....and without Donley was the difference.

Donley was the enemy that night. I hope that very soon he will be one of the good guys.

SLJ, Donley and Willie White are two of the biggest recruits on the board for me personally. Most of my family lives in Camden and Glynn Counties and I live in Chatham. We have NEVER EVER pulled a kid out of Folkston before. This is MAJOR UGA, Florida, and FSU territory.

Two years ago we got DJ Jones from Camden County which I thought at the time was a good start. If we are able to lock up Donley and White, we will truly have broken down the door in the Coastal Southeast that has a wealth of D-1 talent. Don't think that Donley and White coming to GT won't help us in the future in these areas. This would be huge!

It will say a lot to me that this coaching staff could land these two players in an area that is 90% UGA country. Charlton County (Folkston) has produced over 10 players for UGA alone in the last 10 years. Getting Donley to sign with GT is just absolutely huge in my opinion.
