#17 for Charlton County is on TV right now on GPB. It just started so he hasn't done anything yet.

Middle of Second Quarter, DJ just STUCK a receiver coming over the middle!:wow:

He just intercepted a pass with his team up 7-6 with four minutes left.

DJ is a man amongst boys. He has 2 interceptions in 2H and a ton of tackles

Even when they complete a pass in his vicinity, he punishes the receiver.

Definitely stands out on the field today as a special player.

There is an article on Go Jackets on DJ this morning. I don't have an "IN" subscription. However, the gist is they think he should play defense. After watching yesterday, I would agree!!

He also has extremely soft hands and runs extremely well after the catch...very physical.

It sounds like we have a no lose "decision" on our hands! :laugher:

Saw a little of him last night. Puts some good hits on some kids who weren't expecting him. I hope he can tackle a D1 running back in the open field.

So longfordodd, do you even know how to compliment someone? We have a 4 star athlete and all you can say is you hope he can tackle D1 running backs? Jeez.

I can see that you don't read very well. Did you see my first line? It was a compliment and anyone who can read can see the compliment - without a doubt.

Plus any negative connotation was aimed at the current crop of matadors that seem to have a problem with the basics of tackling.

Do you think the DB coach might have a thing or two to say to any of his charges who miss a tackle by not applying proper techniques? I'm going to answer that question for you since you can't read real well. The answer is Yes, he would. A follow-up question for you? If it's OK for a coach to say something with a negative slant to it, is it not OK for me or anyone else to say something similar? I'll let you read it and then maybe re-read the question and then answer it.

Don't like my negative slants. Sorry, I don't sugar coat things unless it's with my wife and daughters.

Next question, Nancy Catherine.

On second thought, don't ask me any more questions.

I can't help myself. You wrote:

You mentioned that the first line was clearly a compliment? You saw a little of him last night. That either means you didn't watch the game much OR Donley didn't do much on the field and therefore he wasn't noticed.

Maybe it was the second line? Puts some good hits on some kids who weren't expecting him. Wow, what a compliment! Donley puts SOME good hits on SOME kids who WEREN'T EXPECTING HIM. That suggests that he puts some good hits on but only when the other guy doesn't see it coming.

I have to agree, that your writing style was not particularly complimentary. Too funny.

The deal longfordodd, it that was a backhanded compliment at best and that you ALWAYS post with a negative slant. You must be a real blast for your daughters to be around.
