Do reporters do research?

Did he ever start over Adamm Oliver more than once?

MJ sure played a whole hell of a lot, but I don't recall him starting. I remember this because in my drunk state, I was usually screaming at the coaches for not letting him start...

I think his only start came against Fresno St after the Machine went down against UGAg.

Wow, I got to tell ya that's a surprise. It sure felt like he started more than that.

He played like 50% of the snaps, but I think Gailey felt he owed Adamm the start because he was a senior.

well, and because he had injury issues that limited his playing time, according to his dad

Also, Adamm was stronger against the run, which is important both on first downs and early in a game. Hence, the starting assignment. And a senior, rather than getting a start due to "loyalty" may get it over an equally talented underclassman because that senior is less likely to make mistakes, whether due to nervousness or being confronted with an unexpected scheme. By putting them in as part of a rotation, the younger player sees what the opposition is doing in advance and can better prepare themselves for it.

But I would ask Mr. Oliver himself what the deal was.
