Does Attendance Top 50K Saturday Night?

I know that’s laughable but I was hoping GSU would bring in a good crowd. Being an 8:00 kickoff doesn’t help.
 
I'd love to have 50% more fans on hand than the average game last year, but that would be a huge surprise. Getting to 40k would be a shocker, 45k would be freaking amazing. Having only 5k empty seats would be shocking.
 
50K seems like a lot.

Pros:
  • Coming off a good end to 2023 and a huge win in Ireland - hype train is rolling
  • Local opponent should bring some fans
  • Saturday nights are fun - less hot, no conflicts with day events
  • Holiday weekend, lot of stuff going on in town
Cons:
  • How many fans does GSU really have?
  • Some Tech fans are scared to come downtown at night
  • Holiday weekend, lot of stuff going on in town
I’m hoping for a decent and energetic crowd, not expecting anything close to a full house but hopefully in the 40s and not the 30s.

Still plenty of tickets available direct from Tech - I think 40k is realistic, would love for 45k.
 
I doubt we'll have 50k there but the GTAA announced that, for the first time in quite awhile, all 6000 student season tickets have been sold. There are typically another 1000 student tickets given out for free but each week.

Now we just need them to fill out 15 minutes before the team enters the field like we used to do it, instead of showing up after the 1st quarter.
 
New capacity is like 51k. 50k would be a near sellout. Aint happening
 
Georgia State averaged 15.5 at home last year. Might get 10-12 from them. I expect we would draw 25-30K for the game. Expect attendance around 38-40K
 
Based on available tickets shown if you go to purchase, it looks like we have sold 50k.

If GS averaged 15k last year, I could see them bringing that many or more. I assume we're the biggest game on their schedule and it's not like they have to travel far.

I think it will be a big crowd and a fun night.
